A very unique turn based strategic card game. I thoroughly enjoyed the intensity, sound effects were on point and the visuals were excellent! I look forward to the full version!
as far as ik, this issue is exclusive to the itch launcher coz unity's way of handling serving compressed content is weird and expects to always be hosted from a server instead of just ur drive. While I think playing it in browser should work, im gonna look into updating the build with "decompression fallback" to see if it fixes the issue.

Like instead of "I see..." it would be "🟥🟥🟥 (and 3 smaller squares here. no graphic for this because I couldn't find a small box emoji, nor could I find a white box emoji so I had to improvise with red) But (hopefully) you know what I mean...
oh yeah i know exactly what you mean. there used to be a lot more of it prior to release. happens when the precision needed to draw the UI is too small so it needs to be farther away from the camera.
Unfortunately if i push it any further away, it'll start clipping inside the table.
But I think the Steam versions are more forgiving.
well I mean I escaped on fair mode and I keep almost beating him cuz he only got 1 card left. I swear to God last play he had 3 fire extinguishers. what are even the item rarities
I really liked your game! I cannot wait for the full release. I am amazed that this is only the demo. I also noticed you made major improvements since the JAM game version. I played both versions in my video. I can't wait to see what other game modes there will be and the "online vs" mode as well! It reminded me of buckshot roulette but didn't feel like a carbon copy. Very unique! Amazing game!

the game is mostly luck based, every part of the game is amazing except for the gameplay, on my first 2 tries he kept getting the crowbar and whenever i got gasoline or a fire extinguisher he would steal it when his turn starts, other than that i keep getting the axe, on my 3rd try the opposite happened and it ended without any challenge, also its kinda annoying that he can use the crowbar immediately after getting it but we cant even tho its the fair mode, the idea of the game is so cool and the art and music gets you in the mood so easily that it's such a pity that the game is so focused on luck.

i mean there is some level of planning needed to actually win like discarding an item you get when the host has a crowbar so that they dont steal it; its not simply based on luck. sure the host being able to use the item when he gets it and you not being able to do the same is annoying sure but idk maybe its less of skill issue and more of a brain function and comprehension issue coz i beat both modes first try. also stop comparing this game to more popular ones when 1. its literally a demo, 2. you suck buttcheeks at it, and 3. youre a loser

oh no thats odd.
I've encountered that before when testing from a local server.
Usually a server side issue.
But you can try hitting "Ctrl + Shift + R" to hard reload the page contents.
If that doesn't work, i recommend the steam demo.
updated the build to have "Decompression Fallback".

you can actually use the crowbar right when you get it, just click one of the opponents shelves instead of putting it in yours
